The whole art series «Ways of alarm» is built on the creation of an expressive symbolic image, the emotional and artistic idea. The means of expression for visualizing ideas is the human body, as an object that can embody the broadest spectrum emotionally comprehensible to everyone. These human images help to reveal the theme of the tragedy of war, show the emotional experiences, suffering and longings of the human soul at the time of a tragic change in life. This is how we change in times of suffering. Our body deforms, loses its shape and only a tear, a symbol of despair, grows and reflects blue eyes, a symbol of the soul — «Why is she crying». The next work of art — «They are heartless» — it is an allegory of the loss of feelings. When you feel a critical maximum of emotions, be it aggression or fear, from a certain point you become indifferent, you lose interest. You feel that you have no heart, it is frozen and it can only attract snails with its coldness. The third work in the series — «Deeply connected» — it is a symbol of unbreakable unity with own land, that is why it is chained to a sunflower, which is the national symbol of Ukraine. The fourth linocut — «In the stream» is the story of the loss of home, ordinary people fleeing the fires of war and destruction are forced to travel downstream into the unknown, wherever the river of fate bring them. |

The fifth image «It's going to germinate» reveals a sad vision of hope for the best, every drop of blood can become a source for the growth of beautiful flowers. The next engraving — «Torn fates» — illustrates the loss of ties with loved ones, the forced resettlement of the civilian population during the war is the drama of the current loss and suffering of millions of families. «Flower of hope» — on a path filled with trials, it is the faith in better days that becomes the root from which the meaning of life grows. «Your eagle will soar» — for even when the sky is clouded by the crows of worry, an eagle of strength and hope lives in your heart, ready to lift you above any darkness. «Prayer for peace» — depicts a mother holding her child in her arms. Behind them, a dark sky is lit by the flashes of airstrikes directed at peaceful cities. The contrast between maternal tenderness and the brutality of the sky conveys the fragility of human life. «Prayer for freedom» — dedicated to prisoners of war — the sky, portrayed in a style inspired by Vincent van Gogh, with rich and vibrant colors, preserves an analogy to the power of dreams. The tension between physical captivity and the boundlessness of the sky reveals a sorrowful vision of hope for a better future — an irrepressible longing for freedom. |
